  1. Law enforcement professionals risk their lives for public safety and communities rely on your services for protection. What are some of the challenges that you face when it comes to building strong relationships with the people you serve? How do both communities reach out to each other? Can you share some moments  when the connection was strong? If so, what tools did you use. If not, what are some potential solutions?

 

  1. How are the youth programs hosted by the law enforcement leading the youth away from juvenile delinquency and crime? What programs are in place to prevent released young adults from becoming repeat-offenders?

 

  1. According to studies conducted by the Bureau of Justice Statistics examining the lives of more than 400,000 released prisoners over 9 years, researchers have found that these people re-entered the criminal justice system an average of 5 times. What are some of the factors that lead to recidivism? What challenges does recidivism pose towards society? What are some solutions?
